AIG is a confederation of artists, working in a variety of media, who originate from different cultures and wish to explore cultural diversity and promote international understanding through practising their art together and exhibiting together in their different countries. They hope to learn from each other through this, and to hold workshops which will extend their skills to a wider public. Through working together, the artists believe that their art communicates without the need for language, and that their exhibitions eliminate national borders.
Directed by Svetlana Elantseva, who is based in Shrewsbury in Shropshire, UK, they comprise artists from Britain, Russia, USA, Bulgaria, Turkey and Germany .

‘Art Voyage’ is the second phase in Art International Group’s highly successful project from 2014 to 2016, “Art Without Borders”, and of the co-operation between artists from different cultures creating events together in several different countries.
Our new project continues to emphasise the ideals of friendship and international co-operation. Artists who participate in AIG’s exhibitions share their own cultures, language and traditions with artists whose countries they visit. The universal language of Art becomes their medium for communication with all.
Art provides opportunities to create something new from what already exists; transfers ideas from one cultural environment to another; moves from past to present to future. The force of art has a magical touch which establishes dialogue despite differences in outlook and mindset.
The exhibition Art Voyage represents artworks of 18-20 artists from the groups ‘Art International’ and ‘ Sliding Light’ .
